Check the listing for hours, admission requirements and the Google rating, and use the main cafe and bakery categories for everyday coffee, since the places here are grouped by location rather than by what they serve.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I want to extend a warm thank you to everyone at Treehouse. I was so nervous about getting a new friend for my kitty, but from start to finish every person (and cat) we interacted with was nothing but genuine and friendly. Thank you, especially, to Alex who helped us find our new feline friend. Alex was so respectful and communicative throughout the whole process. I also really appreciated all the resources we were sent home with. I'm an experienced cat owner, but it was still so helpful to have articles to help me brush up on bringing home a cat to a cat. Robin, the artist formerly known as Cotton Candy, has been such a ray of sunshine both for my partner and me and for my 10-year old, Eddy. We are so excited to see their friendship blossom!

What an impressive rescue shelter. It was the first stop on our journey to find a new cat. The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. After reviewing all of the adoptable felines, we fell in love with a small 1 year old cat that they called Toaster. She is perfect. Because of Bissell's Clear Out The Shelters" special (May 1- May 17) adoption fees were reduced from $115 to $70. A real added bonus.

This is such a nice facility and a great way to meet the kitties! We came to the cafe with the intent to adopt. The space is clean, the drinks are great, and the cats are adorable. The staff is super accommodating and wonderful to work with. We could not be happier with our decision to work with Tree House and give a kitty their furrever home.

Best place possible to adopt a cat, or 2! Clean, no smell, happy and healthy or very well cared for cats. Cats get a lot of space in their private studio with access to a balcony for some outdoor experience. The cats are not crowded at all. 1, 2 maybe sometimes 3 cats in one studio the size of a student room on campus. This environment promotes good health, both physically and mentally. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. And they all love their cats. We adopted 2 cats and they are simply wonderful and were very quickly comfortable. Two beauties! Thank you!

This shelter was incredibly organized, clean, and quiet. The cute gift shop and assortment of toys and other necessities was a really nice touch. I actually came straight from work without a carrier because I had my eye on Spatula, one of the Manx kittens available, and I’m so happy I was able to bring her home. The staff clearly put so much effort into making sure the animals are healthy and safe. The first two days she was a little nervous and didn’t use the litter box, but by day three she learned quickly and has been doing great. I was especially impressed with Kyra. She provided me with so much helpful information far more than I’ve received from other shelters I’ve visited. Since my kitten is only 2.5 months old, it was really important to have guidance on the next steps, and they even gave me a certificate along with all the necessary details. The wait time was a little long and there didn’t seem to be many people around, which was a bit confusing, but thankfully I arrived in time to bring my little girl home. Our hearts feel complete, and she’s adjusting so nicely. If I hadn’t already loaded up on coffee before arriving, I definitely would have checked out the cat cafΓ©
